History of the Annex
The Mechanical Engineering Instructional Shops are for use by students, faculty and staff at the University of Washington. Safety certification is required to use the Shops. This training is provided as part of ME 355 Introduction to Manufacturing Processes, and is also provided each quarter as a 5-part weekly series. The instruction covers general and specific shop safety, plus an introduction to shop practices and machining. Contact the Shop Manager for scheduling information at ilf@u.washington.edu
